Productions for fashion and lifestyle brands are about guiding people confidently in little time, reading the light and composing clearly, while whoever stands in front of the camera feels at ease. At a wedding, where no moment can be repeated, this means I know when a brief cue makes a portrait calmer and when it is better simply to observe. The photographs should feel composed, but never posed.

Calmly, attentively, and mostly in the background. You should enjoy your day and barely notice me. I watch how the day unfolds and hold on to what happens between people: glances, embraces, laughter, and the quiet minutes before the ceremony. I give clear direction mainly for portraits and group photos, so those parts go quickly and stay relaxed.

I cover everything from getting ready and the ceremony, whether a symbolic ceremony or a registry-office wedding only, to family photos and the couple shoot. If you marry on a beach or an island, we are happy to drive down to the sea for the couple shoot, and an after-wedding shoot is available on request. Before the day, we talk through the schedule, light and priorities. That way I know which moments matter to you and can focus entirely on you and your guests on the day.

For me, editorial does not mean glossy or staged. It means telling a wedding like a story, with photographs that belong together: wide views of the place, close portraits, details of fabric, hands and tables. After the celebration, I select the images so they work as a series and edit them in a natural look that respects skin tones and light. Near-duplicates stay out, so the finished set is focused and can be looked through like a book, from the first preparations to the last dance. A first selection of around 50 images arrives within 24 hours, the full set within a month in a private online gallery, downloadable for a year.

In Mallorca, I photograph weddings at fincas, on the coast, in the Serra de Tramuntana and in Palma. In Hamburg and the north of Germany, I cover celebrations in the city and in the countryside. For destination weddings, I travel worldwide when the place and the plan suit my way of working.

Mallorca is my focus for weddings, and the island shapes the pictures. For about three years I have spent around two weeks a month here, and I know the coves, whether you reach them by boat or by car, as well as places from Santanyí and Alcúdia to Port d'Andratx and Palma, and the fincas inland, around Artà for example. I have photographed at small fincas and large hotels alike; I photographed a wedding at the Mandarin Oriental in Mallorca. In spring and autumn the light is soft and warm, in summer it turns hard and bright, and in the evening it often falls golden over the sea. Stone, olive wood and lime give many places calm, natural colours.

That is why I plan portrait time around the light and think through the routes between ceremony, finca and coast from the start.

I speak fluent German and English and some Spanish. That helps at international weddings where families from different countries come together. I can give direction for group photos in German and English so that everyone feels included, and I can get by in Spanish with suppliers in Mallorca.

Trust and clear agreements. I want to understand early what matters to you about your wedding: people who must be in the photographs, traditions from your families, moments you want to keep deliberately quiet. The better I know this, the less I need to ask on the day itself.

Honesty in planning matters just as much. If a portrait window is too tight or the light turns harsh at a certain hour, I say so openly and suggest an alternative. That keeps the day relaxed for you and gives the photographs the room they need.
